I wasn’t going to buy this book

I saw the musical three weeks ago and loved it so much. I’ve been obsessing about it ever since. So, it would seem logical to read the book, right?

But… I was worried the book would spoil my memories of the musical.

And… I’ve been in such a reading slump recently (seriously I started Vanishing Girls almost a month ago and I’m only just halfway through).

So… It’s a waste of money to buy new books right now, isn’t it?

Then I saw Wicked in Waterstones and somehow couldn’t put it back on the shelf. So I bought it and I’ve already read the first chapter.

So, maybe this is the book to get me out of the dreaded reading slump?

Fingers crossed!
