Just Listen by Sarah Dessen

JustListen

Reading a Sarah Dessen novel is like catching up with an old friend: comfortingly familiar but with subtle changes to keep things interesting. You always come out of the conversation with something new. There was a lot of back story to this novel but, once you were up to speed, it moved along quickly. I liked Annabel as a narrator and really felt for her. I particularly loved the relationship between the three sisters and how this was resolved. My other favourite parts include the fashion photo shoot with Mallory, listening to music in the car wash (I’m so going to try that!) and, of course, catching up with my favourite fictional band, Truth Squad.

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
