Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley

Magonia

Epic Reads described this book as a cross between TFIOS and Neil Gaiman’s Stardust and I think this is pretty accurate. There were some heart-wrenching moments, some dramatic moments and lots of cool imagery as we got to know the fantasy world of Magonia. I found I could imagine Magonia very clearly, and loved the descriptions of the canwr and Aza’s singing, though I’ll admit to getting a bit confused by the politics! I enjoyed the writing style and thought the dual point-of-view worked well. I particularly loved Jason’s character and was really pleased with the ending.

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
