I’ll Be Home for Christmas by UKYA Authors

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This collection of YA short stories was written by an fantastic ensemble of UKYA writers and published in aid of Crisis, with each story exploring the theme of home (and Christmas). As always with compilations, there were some stories I really liked and others that I could take or leave. I think my favourites are probably Holly Bourne’s heartbreaking tale with its cliffhanger ending; Juno Dawson’s contrastingly heartwarming story, which is so cleverly written I read most of it with a Geordie accent in my head; and Lisa Williamson’s story about homelessness and unexpected friendships.
