This was one of my most anticipated books for 2017. At its heart it’s a story about identity, about family and finding your place in the world. There’s an element of magical realism, a swoonworthy love interest and two brilliant, hilarious grandmothers! I warmed to Wing almost instantly and rooted for her throughout. I might have read it early in 2017 but it will definitely be one of my favourite books of the year. It’s the sort of book that makes me feel sorry for the books I read next, as it’s a tough act to follow!
My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
